OVERVIEW
I chose to redesign the book cover of "Crying in HMart" by Michelle Zauner. In "Crying in HMart", Michelle Zauner discusses her relationship with food before her mother's passing. Michelle poses a struggles with her relationship with food as I highlighted on the front cover with some common Korean dishes.
SKETCH
I wanted to keep the design and colors recognizable to the original book cover. I kept the red and black cover theme, but I wanted to go beyond representing the food Michelle Zauner mentioned rather than noodles as the front cover. Michelle Zauner mentioned before her mother passed her love for food, so I wanted to represent a family meal.

On the front cover, it highlights 3 main dishes: Bibimbap, Tteokbokki, and Japchae. The back cover displays 3 Korean side dishes (banchan).
